General Manager – Spanish Restaurant

Central Glasgow
£45,000 per year + competitive bonus + tips

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and energetic General Manager to lead our Spanish restaurant in the heart of Glasgow.

This is an exciting opportunity for a natural hospitality leader who knows how to build an engaged, motivated team and create a restaurant culture where both employees and guests feel genuinely valued.

The successful candidate will have a real passion for quality food and drinks, exceptional service and all things Spanish. You will take full ownership of the restaurant’s day-to-day operation, ensuring consistently high standards while driving sales, developing the team and delivering strong commercial results.

The role

You will be responsible for:

Recruiting, developing and inspiring an enthusiastic restaurant team
Creating an engaging, positive and high-performing workplace culture
Delivering warm, energetic and memorable guest experiences
Maintaining exceptional standards of food, drink, service and presentation
Driving sales, profitability and business growth
Managing labour, stock, costs and operational performance
Developing the restaurant’s Spanish drinks offering, including wines, beers, cocktails and spirits
Working closely with the kitchen and senior team to deliver a consistent, authentic experience
Building strong relationships with guests, suppliers and the local community
Ensuring all licensing, health and safety, and food-safety standards are maintained

About you

We are looking for someone who:

Has significant management experience within a quality, high-volume restaurant or bar
Is passionate about building, engaging and retaining great teams
Leads from the floor and sets the standard through their own energy and enthusiasm
Has a genuine interest in Spanish food, wine, drinks and culture
Combines exceptional hospitality with strong commercial awareness
Is confident managing budgets, labour costs, stock and financial performance
Remains calm, organised and decisive in a busy restaurant environment
Takes pride in creating a workplace where people enjoy coming to work

Previous experience in a Spanish or Mediterranean restaurant would be advantageous, but genuine passion, leadership ability and the right personality are equally important.
