Community & Engagement Lead Job Pack

We're excited to be recruiting for a Community Engagement Lead to join Lancashire Mind. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our Community Engagement Team, oversee a diverse portfolio of projects and play a key role in ensuring the voices of local communities and people with lived experience influence the work we do.

Job title: Community Engagement Lead

Hours: 24.5 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term to 31st May 2029

Starting salary: £32,300 pro rata (£22,610 actual)

Location: Based in Leyland, Lancashire with activities across the county. Hybrid and flexible working options available.

We're looking for a passionate, proactive and experienced leader to join our team. We want someone with experience of managing projects, leading people and building effective partnerships, who is committed to improving mental health and wellbeing across Lancashire.

In this role, you'll provide leadership and oversight to Lancashire Mind's Community Engagement Team, ensuring projects are delivered effectively, achieve meaningful outcomes and continue to meet the needs of the communities we serve. You'll lead and support a team of staff, oversee performance and impact, and work closely with a wide range of partners, funders, community organisations and stakeholders.

A key part of the role is ensuring that lived experience and community voice are embedded throughout our work. You'll support meaningful participation and coproduction opportunities, helping to ensure people have genuine influence over the services and projects that affect them.

This is an exciting time to join Lancashire Mind as we continue to develop our community engagement work, strengthen our partnerships and expand our reach across Lancashire. We're looking for someone who shares our vision of a Lancashire where everyone can achieve the best mental health and wellbeing possible and who is motivated by creating opportunities for people and communities to thrive.

Lancashire Mind has a dedicated workplace wellbeing programme to support staff, including an Employee Assistance Programme, a paid wellbeing half day and regular wellbeing activities. We also offer a workplace pension scheme, paid emergency time off to care for dependents, regular supervision and a strong commitment to learning and development.
