Global Telemetrics is the company behind award-winning vehicle security and stolen vehicle tracking brands including SmarTrack and Autowatch UK. As a rapidly growing business, we are committed to delivering exceptional customer service while helping protect thousands of vehicles across the UK.

We are looking for an ambitious, customer-focused Customer Liaison Officer to join our team.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well towards targets and wants to build a long-term career within a growing tech business.

Whilst the role includes managing subscription renewals and outstanding payments, it is much more than a traditional collections position. You'll be responsible for retaining customers, promoting longer-term subscription plans, discussing warranty extensions, identifying vehicle security upgrade opportunities and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Several members of our team have progressed into senior operational, specialist and sales roles within the business. If you're motivated, eager to learn and looking for an opportunity where hard work is recognised and rewarded, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities and Duties

Manage customer subscription and warranty renewals
Contact customers regarding outstanding payments in a professional and customer-focused manner
Promote longer-term subscription plans and renewal options
Discuss and offer warranty extensions where appropriate
Identify opportunities to upgrade customers to enhanced vehicle security products and services
Build positive customer relationships to maximise customer retention and satisfaction
Handle objections effectively and retain customers who may be considering cancellation
Achieve individual and team KPI targets
Send renewal invitations and pro-forma invoices
Handle inbound customer enquiries via telephone and email
Resolve basic customer service issues and direct more complex enquiries to the appropriate department
Allocate customer payments accurately and maintain CRM records
Complete administration and ad-hoc duties as required
Support wider operational teams when needed

Qualifications and Skills

We're more interested in attitude, ambition and potential than extensive industry experience.

The successful candidate will be:

Confident communicating with customers by telephone and email
Comfortable working to targets and KPIs
Organised and able to prioritise a busy workload effectively
Professional and resilient when handling challenging customer conversations
Customer-focused with a positive attitude
Able to work independently and as part of a team
IT literate and comfortable using CRM systems, email and cloud-based software
Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities that benefit both the customer and the business
Possess an excellent telephone manner
