Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in management within retail or sales environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the strategic direction of our business, manage diverse teams, and ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained. A multilingual or bilingual ability is highly desirable to facilitate effective communication across diverse customer and staff groups.

Duties

Develop and implement organisational strategies to achieve business objectives and optimise operational efficiency.
Lead, motivate, and supervise teams across various departments, fostering a positive work environment centred on teamwork and professional development.
Oversee daily store or branch operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
Manage sales targets, analyse performance metrics, and develop initiatives to enhance revenue growth.
Coordinate merchandising efforts to ensure attractive product displays that maximise sales potential.
Handle administrative responsibilities including budgeting, reporting, and maintaining accurate records.
Maintain high standards of customer service through staff training programmes and quality assurance measures.
Manage staffing schedules, recruitment processes, and staff evaluations to ensure optimal team performance.
Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and clients to support organisational growth.
Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organisation through clear phone etiquette and organisational skills.

Requirements

Proven management experience within retail or sales sectors, with a focus on team management and supervising staff.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving organisational goals.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous.
Demonstrable experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative functions.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
Previous experience in retail management or similar roles is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with a professional approach to phone etiquette and customer interactions.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
