Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Barista / Kitchen Support to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the heart of our café, creating delightful beverages and supporting kitchen operations to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for every guest. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a lively atmosphere where customers feel valued and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and food preparation within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care.
Support food preparation tasks, including assembling ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met at all times.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting café environment by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly.
Manage serving duties efficiently, taking orders accurately and delivering excellent customer service with a friendly attitude.
Follow proper food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are upheld throughout all operations.
Handle cash register transactions accurately using basic math skills; process payments swiftly and efficiently.
Support kitchen team members during busy periods by assisting with prep work or other tasks as needed to keep service flowing smoothly.
Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

Previous barista experience is highly desirable; familiarity with espresso machines and drink customization is a plus.
Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Experience in serving customers in fast-paced environments, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions confidently.
Ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
Prior experience with food preparation or kitchen support roles is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key!
