About The Organisation

The Role

The job holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, to ensure the highest possible standard of care is delivery to patients, families and significant others. All aspects of the job are carried out in accordance with NHS Lanarkshire guidelines, procedures and policies

In this key role, you will:

Following an appropriate formal training programme apply knowledge of clinical skills in relation to the role of the nursery nurse involving direct patient care in support of, and supervised by, a registered midwife/nurse ensuring delivery of high quality care
Document clinical care in-patient records that are accurate and legible in accordance with organisational policy and procedure, under the responsibility of the registered practitioner
Support the registered midwife/nurse by assisting women and their partners become confident in parenting skills and care of the newborn through parent craft education eg baby care, feeding and health promotion.
Offer support and evidenced based advice with chosen method of infant feeding breast/formula feed

What You'll Bring:

HNC Childhood Practice SCQF Level 7
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Previous experience in a caring environment
Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
