Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and confident Field Sales Representative to join our growing sales team.

This is a customer-facing, B2C sales role focused primarily on attending company-provided warm leads and converting enquiries into sales. You will meet prospective customers, understand their requirements, present suitable products and solutions, provide quotations and confidently guide them through the buying process.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, a professional approach and the ability to build trust quickly. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious salesperson who enjoys meeting customers, closing deals and earning commission based on performance.

Duties

Attend pre-arranged appointments with prospective customers within your assigned territory
Contact and follow up with warm leads by telephone, email and face-to-face meetings
Understand each customer’s requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions
Deliver clear and professional sales presentations, explaining product features, benefits and value
Prepare and present accurate quotations
Negotiate effectively and close sales while maintaining a positive customer experience
Build strong relationships with customers to encourage referrals and future business
Maintain accurate records of appointments, quotations, follow-ups and sales activity using company systems
Manage your daily schedule efficiently to maximise appointments and minimise unnecessary travel
Follow up outstanding quotations and maintain regular communication with prospective customers
Work closely with the office, operations and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer journey
Keep up to date with company products, promotions, competitor activity and market developments
Work towards individual sales, conversion and revenue targets

Experience and Skills

Previous experience in B2C, field sales, home-improvement sales or a similar customer-facing sales role is highly desirable
A proven ability to negotiate, overcome objections and close sales
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills and the ability to understand individual customer needs
Confident presenting products and quotations in customers’ homes
Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working independently
Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple appointments and follow-ups
Comfortable using CRM systems, email and basic Microsoft Office applications
Professional appearance and manner
A valid UK driving licence and reliable access to a vehicle are required

Experience within windows, doors, glazing, construction, home improvements, kitchens, bedrooms, solar, roofing or other high-value residential sales would be advantageous, although product training can be provided.
