Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a pleasant dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest services efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise guest flow.
Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service.
Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Help with any additional tasks as required to enhance the guest experience.

Skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff.
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred but not essential.
Excellent phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally.
A genuine passion for hospitality and providing outstanding guest services.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
