Job Description

Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the team working at West Herts College – Watford Campus, WD17 3EZ.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service to students, staff and visitors.
- Prepare and serve Starbucks hot and cold beverages to required brand standards.
- Serve food, snacks and other products across the catering operation.
- Operate tills and process cash/card transactions accurately.
- Maintain clean, attractive and fully stocked counters, displays and service areas.
- Replenish and rotate stock and assist with deliveries.
- Follow food safety, allergen, Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation, including general cleaning duties.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
- Work as part of the wider catering team and support other college catering areas and general duties as required.

Key Requirements:

Previous catering, hospitality, retail, coffee shop or customer service experience desirable but not essential; training provided.
- Friendly, positive and customer-focused approach with good communication skills.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, flexible and willing to support different catering areas.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Willingness to learn barista skills and prepare beverages to Starbucks standards.
- Basic food hygiene/allergen/Health & Safety awareness desirable; full training provided.
- Able to follow instructions, procedures and company standards.
- Willing to complete required online training and safeguarding requirements.
