Dog Daycare Assistant - Join Our Team!

Northampton | Part-time approx 25hrs per week | 7:30am - 12:30pm Mon - Fri

Teddy's isn't just a doggy daycare, its a community. From themed events and birthday parties to rescue dog days and fundraising for local charities, every day here is filled with meaning and smiles. We're looking for someone who:

Understands basic dog behaviour

Can work using their initiative

Gets satisfaction from creating a clean space, is thorough and can be self motivated

Connects warmly with other humans and dogs

Brings energy, creativity and a sense of fun

Understands the importance of kindness, teamwork, openness and responsibility

The kind of person who thrives at Teddy's: It's much more than simply loving dogs, who doesn't! We're looking for someone practical, confident and proactive, with good common sense and the ability to work efficiently as part of a small team. You'll need to be comfortable taking instruction and constructive feedback, learning from mistakes and adapting quickly withing needing constant direction or reassurance.

Our approach encourages dogs to be confident and independent, so this role isn't centred around constantly cuddling, carrying or fussing over dogs. We allow them to play, explore, settle, stepping in when they need us. You'll need to understand and embrace this approach while remaining observant, calm and attentive to their welfare.

The right person will take pride in doing things properly, notice what needs doing without always being asked, communicate clearly and be happy working in a busy environment where everyone is expected to pull their weight.
