Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator to bring vibrant, professional finishes to a variety of interior and exterior spaces. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, transforming environments with expert painting and decorating techniques. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic appeal of residential, commercial, or industrial properties. A strong focus on safety, communication, and teamwork will ensure success in this dynamic role.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
Use a variety of tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, and scaffolding to achieve desired effects efficiently.
Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand design specifications and project timelines.
Maintain a clean workspace by properly disposing of waste materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Conduct inspections upon project completion to ensure quality standards are met and touch up as necessary.

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors.
Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and safety instructions clearly.
Valid driving license with reliable transportation for traveling between job sites.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting and decorating activities.
Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching, finishing quality, and surface preparation.
Basic proficiency in English for understanding instructions and documenting work progress.
