We are looking for a Business Development Manager – Building Services to help us grow our presence across Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

This is not just another sales role.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving customer problems and taking ownership. Someone who wants to make a genuine difference to customers while helping shape the future of a growing business.

The Role:

As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in developing customer relationships and growing Elevate's presence across Peterborough and the surrounding region.

You will:

Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Build long-term relationships with commercial customers.
Attend customer meetings, networking events and industry events.
Understand customer challenges and identify practical solutions.
Support customers with reactive maintenance, building fabric repairs and planned maintenance opportunities.
Work closely with our operations team and contractor network to deliver excellent service.
Prepare quotations and commercial proposals.
Manage your sales pipeline and maintain accurate records.
Grow existing customer relationships through excellent service.

Student accommodation operators

About You:

We are looking for someone who combines sales ability with a genuine desire to help customers.

You may have experience within:

Facilities Management
Building Services
Property Maintenance
Commercial Cleaning
Construction Services
Technical Services
A related B2B environment

You will ideally have:

Proven experience in business development or account growth.
Strong relationship-building skills.
A proactive approach to finding opportunities.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities.
A commercial mindset.

Most importantly, you will be someone who takes ownership.

You don't need to know every answer.

You need the attitude to find one.

Package:

£40,000 basic salary.
Increase to £45,000 after successful probation.
Uncapped commission structure.
Realistic first-year earnings £60,000–£65,000.
£295 per month car allowance.
