Full job description

Key Details:

- Hours: 40 hours/ week between 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday

- Location: We’re located in the centre of Wimbledon, just 5 mins away from the main train station

- Main responsibility: To assist the room supervisor with the daily running of the room and contribute to planning and running activities that will provide a stimulating home from home environment and promote early learning.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute active learning sessions that will promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

- Support your colleagues in the planned activities

- Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records to inform future planning and development.

- Uphold our quality of care within the nursery to ensure that all children are nurtured in a positive environment.

- Communicate with carers during handover to develop and maintain strong partnerships with parents/carers

- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and undertake a shared responsibility for cleanliness, health and safety throughout the nursery.

- Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by your room leader.

- Demonstrates strong initiative and ability to think on their feet

- Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with children and parents.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.

- A genuine drive to support children's learning and development through engaging activities.

- A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity.
