Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker/Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of those they support, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a caring attitude. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing your skills within the care sector.

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Supporting individuals with their care plans to ensure personalised and effective care
Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in clients’ conditions
Promoting independence whilst ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times
Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Supporting clients with home care tasks including meal preparation, light cleaning, and shopping as required

Requirements

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is essential.
Valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care plans electronically
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
Ability to work flexibly, often on shift patterns that may include evenings or weekends if required
Reliable, patient, and able to build trusting relationships with clients
Arabic speaker.
