About Us:

Apex Specialist Education is dedicated to providing exceptional support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate Assistant Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to support our SENCO in delivering high-quality provision for pupils with SEND. You will play a key role in implementing the SEN policy, coordinating targeted interventions, and promoting inclusion across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the SENCO in maintaining the SEND register and provision maps.

Assist in coordinating interventions and assessments to meet pupils’ needs.

Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective support.

Contribute to monitoring and evaluating SEN provision effectiveness.

Support teaching and learning, delivering targeted sessions as needed.

Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and positive outcomes for pupils with SEND.

Requirements:

Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.

Knowledge of SEN policies, the graduated approach, and EHCPs.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and external professionals.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., teaching or SEN-related).
