Job Introduction

Part time position
8.5 hours per week
Saturday 07:30am – 12:00pm and Sunday 08:00am – 12:00pm

As a Weekend Chef with Sodexo at Crown, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality catering services within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll support the day-to-day catering operation while ensuring excellent food quality, hygiene standards, and customer service.

What you’ll do:

Prepare, cook, and serve food to a high standard
Complete pre and post service checks to ensure smooth daily operations
Support menu planning and food production, including dietary requirements and allergen awareness
Deliver excellent customer service to site employees and visitors
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping
Process sales and operate cash registers accurately and efficiently
Complete cash handling and end-of-day cashing up procedures
Support compliance with health & safety procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
Work closely with site management to ensure tasks are completed within agreed timeframes

What you’ll bring:

Previous experience within a similar catering or chef role
Food Safety Level 2 qualification preferred
Strong understanding of food hygiene and allergen awareness
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
A proactive and positive attitude within a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Own transport would be beneficial due to site location and shift times
