Overview

Join our dedicated care team as a Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. This rewarding role involves providing compassionate, personalized care in a care home or home care setting. You will work closely with residents and their families to promote independence, dignity, and well-being, ensuring each person receives the highest standard of care. Whether assisting with personal needs or supporting health and safety, your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a warm, welcoming environment for all. The position is for a night care assistant

Responsibilities

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
Support individuals in following their personalized care plans to meet their specific needs and preferences
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life
Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates on health status and any changes observed
Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Support safe transportation for appointments or outings using driving skills when required
Contribute to a clean, safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

Requirements

Valid driving license and ability to drive safely when needed for home care or outings
Experience working in a care home or providing home care services preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
Ability to read and understand care plans written in English to deliver appropriate support
Basic IT skills for recording documentation electronically and updating resident records accurately
Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with residents and team members
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to help others thrive in a supportive environment
Willingness to undertake relevant training related to caregiving standards and health & safety regulations
