About the Role

At Benenden Health, our members are at the heart of everything we do. The Member Engagement team gives members a genuine voice within the business, creating opportunities for them to share feedback, influence improvements and play an active role in shaping the future of the organisation.

As a Member Engagement Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting this work across two areas of the Member Engagement function. From helping deliver member events and AGM activities, to supporting our online member community, coordinating communications and contributing to engagement projects, no two days are the same.

Working within a close-knit team of seven, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your own projects, collaborate with colleagues across the business and develop a broad range of skills in communications, events, stakeholder engagement, reporting and project coordination.

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and proactive, with a real willingness to learn and grow. If you're someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and wants to build a long-term career within a supportive organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of member events, AGM activities and engagement projects.
Help manage our online member community, ensuring members receive timely and informative responses.
Coordinate meetings, travel, accommodation, venues and attendee management.
Manage enquiries received through the Membership Secretary inbox.
Produce reports and presentations that demonstrate the impact of member engagement activities.
Maintain team systems, records and administrative processes.
Champion member engagement and identify opportunities to increase participation from members and colleagues.

What you’ll bring to the role

Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with members, colleagues and stakeholders.
A proactive approach and the ability to use your initiative to solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
Great attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work.
Strong administration skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
The ability to work effectively as part of a small team while taking ownership of your own responsibilities and projects.
Experience supporting events, online communities or customer/member-facing activities would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in candidates with transferable skills and a passion to grow.

This role can be worked full time Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week 9am 5pm, however we can also offer the role on a flexible basis for someone to work part time over 5 days, including school hours.
