Full Training Provided | Career Progression to Chef de Partie

Join our kitchen team at Corner Grill House, York

Are you passionate about cooking and looking to build your career in a professional kitchen?

At Corner Grill House, we believe skills can be taught, but enthusiasm, reliability and a great attitude are just as important. That's why we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working as part of a team and wants to develop into a Chef de Partie in the future.

What you'll be doing

As part of our kitchen team, you'll support the preparation and service of high-quality dishes while learning from experienced chefs.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with food preparation, including chopping, marinating and organising ingredients.
Preparing and cooking dishes following recipes and quality standards.
Maintaining your kitchen section and ensuring it's fully stocked for service.
Supporting the team during busy service periods.
Following food hygiene, food safety and health & safety procedures.
Keeping workstations clean and organised.
Learning new techniques and developing your culinary skills every day.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who:

Has some previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment.
Has a genuine passion for food and cooking.
Enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Is reliable, organised and eager to learn.
Works well as part of a team.
Has a positive attitude and takes pride in their work.
Understands the importance of food hygiene and attention to detail.

Hours
