Role: Client Account Manager
Reports to: Exec team (CEO, COO & CFO)
Location: London office
Hours: Mon-Thu, 9am-6pm, Friday 9am-5pm
Salary: Basic up to £30,0000 p/annum + £5,000 commission/bonus OTE (uncapped) p/annum

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Client Account Manager plays a key role in supporting Apex’s guaranteed rent operations. The role provides hands-on experience across landlord engagement, compliance coordination, property onboarding, and council communication. Working closely with the sales, housing and renewals teams, the consultant ensures properties are onboarded smoothly, compliance is completed, listings are accurate, and councils receive timely updates on availability. The role also includes managing landlord and agent requests around rent reviews or taking properties back, protecting portfolio stability and ensuring clear communication throughout the tenancy.

The Client Account Manager drives procurement of in-demand property types and pricing with the Sales team, prepares and sends Guaranteed Rent Agreements (GRAs), chasing compliance documentation where need. They also upload full property files to the CRM, ensuring listings are accurate and properties meet Apex standards before being offered to councils. They also add properties to the company website and DPS systems, sending bespoke updated availability lists to councils daily, and responds to and negotiates council queries as needed. They will build and maintain relationships with council officers to support faster placements, and lead on generating, managing and attending council meetings, both in person and virtual.

The Client Account Manager handles landlord and agent enquiries throughout the tenancy, manages rent-increase requests, and notices, by assessing viability, coordinating internal review and communicating outcomes professionally. Throughout, they de-escalate issues, maintain strong trust in Apex's processes and service standards, and identify early signs of dissatisfaction to flag risks promptly. They also maintain accurate and timely system records for audits and reporting, and flag any operational delays or risks that may impact occupancy or property readiness

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Proactive, organised, detail-focused individual who can handle multiple priorities.
Strong communicator comfortable speaking with landlords, agents and councils.
Confidence in managing difficult conversations (rent reviews, NTQs, disputes).
Interest in property, housing or customer relationship management.
Ability to work independently while following structured processes.
Familiarity with CRM systems, DPS platforms or marketing tools.
