Administrator – Port of Tyne (South Shields)
Location: Port of Tyne, South Shields (office-based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate About the Role We are looking for a reliable and organised Administrator to join our team based at the Port of Tyne, supporting operations on a key GE site. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you will play a critical part in keeping vessel operations running smoothly, ensuring accurate documentation and supporting day-to-day coordination across multiple stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Vessel manifest management:
- Produce and maintain manifests across multiple vessels
- Liaise with contractors to gather required information (VISSIM)
- Coordinate and submit finalised lists to vessels on time

Operational coordination:
- Act as a central point of contact for contractor information
- Chase outstanding data and ensure accuracy and compliance

General administration:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the site team
- Maintain organised records and documentation

Document control:
- Ensure documents are up to date, accurate, and properly stored
- Support compliance requirements across site operations

What We’re Looking For

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a busy environment
Confident communicator, comfortable chasing information from stakeholders
Previous administration or document control experience preferred
Experience working in a site-based or operational environment is advantageous
