Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with meal preparation, food safety, and general kitchen duties. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their culinary skills within a dynamic environment, whether you have previous catering or restaurant experience or are eager to learn. Needs experience in Vietnamese foods

Duties

Assist with food and meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepared according to recipes and standards
Support cooking activities under the supervision of senior kitchen staff
Help with food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and surfaces
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and measuring
Serve meals to customers or staff in a professional and courteous manner
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts
Assist with stock rotation and inventory checks to ensure freshness and availability of ingredients
Support catering events by setting up and clearing away food stations as required

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not essential; a keen interest in culinary arts is welcome
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately
Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends if necessary
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills within the culinary field

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour
