The Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor at Park House School. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team in a role that is both rewarding and impactful.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisor to join our committed Teaching Support Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching, an experienced teacher seeking a change of pace, or an individual with strong behaviour management skills and a passion for supporting young people.
The successful candidate will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-planned learning, maintain high standards of behaviour, and contribute to a positive and productive learning environment. The role also includes providing administrative and operational support to the school as required.
As a Cover Supervisor, your main responsibilities will be:

Ensure work is set for classes and is communicated to students.
- Supervise and manage the behaviour of students during the lesson.
Monitor the completion of tasks set.
- Support with/develop plans and activities for students as required.
- Support in marking students work as and when necessary.
- Update online learning packages as they relate to specific learning areas.
- Communicate with parents/carers, staff and students.
- Complete filing as and when required.
- Update displays around the School as required.
- Take part in Inset and other training provided.
- Carry out other such duties as are required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post.
- Provide cover if necessary for other administrative jobs within the School.
- Provide Reception cover if necessary.
- Work with the wider school body and provide lunch time supervision as necessary.
We are looking for someone who has:

A good standard of education
- Experience working with young people
- Effective communication and presentation skills - orally and in writing
- Resilient, with the ability to deliver a complex and demanding workload
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanour under pressure
- Works in an organised way with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills including being able to influence, negotiate and deal with conflict.
