Job Title: Bar Staff

Location. Engine Rooms, Southampton

Position Type: Part-time/Full-time

Required: Ability to get to and from work for late hours

Engine Rooms is a premier live music and entertainment venue located in the heart of Southampton. We are dedicated to providing our guests with an unforgettable experience through outstanding performances, vibrant atmosphere, and exceptional service. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our team and contribute to our exciting environment.

Job Description:

As a Bar Staff member at Engine Rooms, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our patrons during live events and performances. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining bar cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers at the bar.

- Take drink orders and prepare a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service.

- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.

- Engage with customers to enhance their experience, addressing any questions or concerns.

- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operation during events.

- Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar for events.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.

- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of drink preparation and cocktail recipes is a plus.

- Must be at least 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.

- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate live events.
