Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in hospitality, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff when General Manager is off, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and managing the smooth running of shifts to meet organisational goals.

Duties

Supervise during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow in cooking, serving, and customer care.
Delegating tasks, and monitor performance to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
Handle customer queries or complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction when leading a shift.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
Provide guidance to staff members, fostering a positive team environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in serving, or food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Previous supervising experience in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and organise a team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
Experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
Barista/mixology experience or hospitality background is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
