Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Cashier/Bookkeeper to join our legal team. This role involves managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the organisation’s accounting functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Although experience as a cashier in a legal firm is preferred, other relevant experience will be considered and training will be offered.

Responsibilities

Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
Maintain organised records of all financial transactions using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date
Assist with bookkeeping tasks including data entry, ledger management, and financial reporting
Support the preparation of financial documents for audits or review purposes

Requirements

Proven experience in cashiering and bookkeeping roles, ideally within a similar industry
Proficiency in accounting software - Law Pro
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a professional manner
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential
