Full job description

Summary:

Octane Draincare is looking for an experienced Reactive Van Pack Operator to join our growing team. You will be responsible for responding to emergency drainage call-outs, diagnosing drainage issues, clearing blockages, undertaking CCTV investigations where required and delivering excellent customer service to both domestic and commercial clients.

The Reactive Van Pack Operator at Draincare plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of drainage systems across Bradford and the surrounding areas. This permanent, full-time position is essential for delivering high-quality utility services, responding promptly to drainage issues, and contributing to the overall reliability of our infrastructure. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team committed to providing excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain the van pack equipment for effective drainage solutions.
Respond to emergency call-outs and carry out reactive maintenance on drainage systems.
Conduct site assessments to identify drainage issues and implement appropriate solutions.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any further issues to management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Attend reactive drainage call-outs.
Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment safely and effectively.
Diagnose and clear blocked drains, stacks, gullies and sewer systems.
Carry out CCTV surveys where required.
Locate drainage defects and provide recommendations for remedial works.
Complete electronic job reports, photographs and site documentation using company systems.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment to a high standard.
Represent Octane Draincare professionally at all times.
Participate in the emergency call-out rota.
Ensure excellent housekeeping on every site.
Develop skills through ongoing training.

Essential Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence.
Previous drainage industry experience.
Good understanding of drainage systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible approach to working hours.
Ability to work away from home when required.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role within the utilities or drainage industry.
Full UK driving licence, with a clean driving record.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to drainage operations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
HPWJ Qualification.
CSCS
Confined Space.
SLG
First Aid.
