An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated Adult Safeguarding Team in Carmarthenshire Local Authority.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Social Worker who is committed to upholding the rights and well-being of adults at risk in our community. If you thrive in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment and are keen to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you. As part of our team, you’ll:

Collaborate with partner agencies to protect adults from abuse, neglect, and harm
Work directly with adults at risk, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met
Manage safeguarding cases efficiently and effectively
Contribute to a supportive team culture focused on continuous improvement and advocacy

you’ll bring:

A professional social work qualification (e.g., BA, MA, or equivalent)
Strong communication and decision-making skills
A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and human rights
Enthusiasm to develop professionally within a dynamic and inclusive team

**Experienced Practitioner Progression Framework

The ‘Framework’ recognises Social Workers who have completed their consolidation programme, and who routinely undertake complex social work practice. It also recognises those Social Workers who undertake relevant post qualifying, CPD programmes and research, which could include being a Practice Educator who has 2nd and 3rd year Students, or an AMHP licenced and practicing within the Authority.
