Job Description: Technical & Contract Review

Ideally looking for somebody who has experience as a Production Engineer / Planning Engineer / Technical Estimator who works with the manufacture of components for the Oil & Gas / Energy / Aerospace industries

Job Function/Purpose:

To process and engineer all new sales orders effectively ensuring OTD targets are achieved / maintained & Customer Quality requirements are met.

Creation of ITP’s / MPS’s for customer specific requirements.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Process all new sales orders, ensuring routings selected are most economical and fully compliant with customer requirements

2. Review specifications and drawings, providing technical support and assistance to any departments within the business that require it

3. Create ITP’s / MPS’s based on customer requirements ensuring all technical and quality aspects are met

4. Work closely with production planning to ensure that best route is chosen to suit the businesses current capacity and capabilities

5. Dealing with customers regarding any queries of a technical nature where support is needed

6. Performing contract review of sales orders and routings

7. Deal with suppliers and procuring raw material / finished goods to meet customer demand

Key Measures:

1. Quality – All customer requirements to be met in full 100% of the time

2. Cost – Best route / best practice applied to all routings planned to ensure most efficient method used

3. Delivery – All orders to be processed in a timely manner ensuring maximum time is given to production and company OTD targets are fully met

Hours – 37.5 Hours per week - Monday to Thursday (08:30 – 17:00 incl. 30 minute lunch) Friday (08:30 – 14:30 incl. 30 minute lunch)

Salary – From £28K per annum but negotiable dependant on experience

General Experience within the Fastener industry is preferred but not essential, training will be provided to the successful candidate where required.
