Full job description

Job Purpose:

§ Working on the front counter, answering inbound calls and serving both the retail and trade customers

§ Ordering parts from internal and external sources

§ Picking and Packing Parts

§ Invoicing

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

A parts Advisor must be able to work on their own, but also as part of a team. Communicating with customers over the phone and face to face. Ensure the correct parts are identified and dispatched to internal and external customers, liaising with colleagues to ensure customer expectations are met, and in most cases, exceeded.

Key Tasks:

§ Working on the front counter and dealing with customer queries and orders face to face

§ Answering inbound calls and serving both the retail and trade customers

§ Building long-term rapport with local customers

§ Actively promote offers & customer incentives

§ Accurately picking and packing parts for delivery or collection

§ Accurately enter customer orders into MAM system

§ Taking payments for customer orders, face to face or over the phone

§ Arranging for customer return to be collected and/or processed

Key Attributes:

§ Ability to accurately use MAM software (training will be provided) for customer orders

§ Ability to communicate with customers both face to face and over the phone, building rapport and excellent customer relationships

§ Have an understanding of motor vehicle parts

§ Work in a busy department

§ Highly organised and adaptable

§ Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude

Qualifications/Experience:

§ Experience of having worked in a similar environment/role key

§ Customer focused and excellent customer service at all times

§ Experience with MAM Autoparts an advantage but not essential

§ Clean Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential)

Working Hours

§ Between 08:00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

§ 08:30am to 1:00pm Every 1 in 2 Saturday’s
