Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Loader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading materials in a warehouse environment, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate forklifts as needed. The Loader will play a crucial part in maintaining the flow of goods out the facility.

Duties

Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport goods within the warehouse.
Ensure accurate handling of products by following shipping protocols.
Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Collaborate with team members to build and prepare shipments for dispatch.
Assist in maintaining safety standards throughout the warehouse environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in materials handling or a similar role within a warehouse setting is preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
Valid forklift certification is desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
A team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
