Job Title: Group FP&A Analyst – Financial Modelling
Location: Manchester

About the Role
This role sits within the Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, supporting the development and enhancement of core financial models underpinning long-range planning, strategic decision-making and investment appraisal.
The role will provide high-quality modelling, scenario analysis and insight to support the Group’s 5-year plan, M&A and business development activity, capital allocation decisions, and wider strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong technical modelling skills with commercial judgement to translate complex assumptions into clear, decision-ready outputs for senior stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
Group Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Support the development and maintenance of long-range planning models, including the 5-year plan, budgets and rolling forecasts across multiple regions
- Develop integrated financial forecasts aligned to strategic objectives, translating operational and commercial inputs into robust planning outputs
- Support consolidation of regional and business forecasts into consistent group-level outputs
Scenario Analysis, Sensitivities & Risk Modelling
- Support the development of probability-weighted financial models to assess key risks (e.g. revenue, funding, regulatory and cost pressures)
- Translate complex risks into quantified financial impacts using sensitivity and scenario analysis
- Produce multi-case models (base, downside, upside) to assess cash flow, liquidity and financial resilience
Financial Modelling & Strategic Decision Support
- Build and maintain integrated financial models (P&L, cash flow and balance sheet) to support planning and strategic decision-making
- Deliver modelling to support investment decisions, new site growth, pricing changes and M&A activity
- Provide ad-hoc modelling and investment appraisal, ensuring outputs are robust, auditable and clearly documented
Business Partnering & Insight
- Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to support planning, analysis and decision-making
- Evaluate strategic initiatives and investment opportunities through clear financial insight
- Monitor performance against plan, identify variances and provide recommendations to improve outcomes
- Communicate complex financial information clearly, challenging assumptions and driving continuous improvement
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in a commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering role within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
- Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills, including building and maintaining integrated models
- Experience supporting planning, forecasting, and investment appraisal / strategic decision-making
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to interpret data commercially
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Desirable
- Experience supporting M&A, business development or complex scenario modelling
- Experience with ERP systems, Power BI or similar tools
- Professional finance qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA) — or working towards
