Marketing & Communications Executive

Based in the heart of the New Forest, The Horti House is transforming houseplant wholesale by creating a one-stop shop for UK retailers. We supply garden centres, florists and independent retailers with an extensive range of houseplants, ceramics and added-value products. The Horti House is part of Double H, one of the UK’s leading indoor plant growers. This gives us access to extensive horticultural expertise, modern production facilities and a wider network of leading UK and European growers. As The Horti House continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Executive to join the team.

· Salary £27,000 to £29,000 FTE - part time role

· Circa 14 hours per week, office based with flexible hours, to include Mondays

The Role

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Executive to work closely with the Marketing Lead and wider Horti House team.

· You will help bring our products, ranges and brand to life through engaging customer-facing content across social media, email marketing and our online trade portal.

· Creativity and a genuine enthusiasm for the product will be central to the role. You will need to understand what makes a product commercially relevant, identify engaging stories and communicate them in a way that inspires our retail customers.

· The role will involve regular interaction with customers, through social media, customer communications or the creation of useful marketing content. You should therefore be a confident and approachable communicator who enjoys building relationships and understanding what customers need.

· You will also work collaboratively across the business, helping to maintain momentum, support campaigns and ensure content is accurate, engaging and delivered to a consistently high standard.

The Person

For The Horti House, personality is just as important as experience. A love of plants would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We can teach you about horticulture, our products and the wider houseplant industry. What matters most is that you are genuinely interested in learning about the products you are promoting and are excited about sharing them with our customers.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys a hands-on role, brings energy and creativity to their work and thrives in a busy, fast-moving environment. You will have a strong eye for detail and visual storytelling, along with the confidence to take ownership, contribute ideas and keep projects moving. Some previous marketing experience, gained through employment, education, freelance work, volunteering or personal projects, would be ideal. We are open to candidates who can demonstrate a strong understanding of marketing principles as well as those with practical experience.
