Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Opereations Manager of Production Department to volunteer their expertise in overseeing production operations within our organisation. This leadership role involves coordinating manufacturing activities, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining efficient workflows. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with assembly, hand tools, and power tools, contributing to the continuous improvement of our production processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about contributing to meaningful projects while gaining valuable leadership experience.

Duties

Lead and supervise the production team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Oversee assembly processes, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
Organise the use of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently across the department.
Coordinate with warehouse personnel for the timely movement of materials and finished products.
Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain organised work areas, adhering to cleanliness and safety standards.
Assist in training new volunteers or staff members on equipment and procedures as needed.
Contribute to process improvements by providing feedback based on operational observations.

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse operations or manufacturing environments.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
Demonstrated ability in assembly work and process optimisation.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous but not essential for volunteers eager to develop skills.
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
