Expansion:

Unify goes from strength to strength - growing from 210 to 370 customers in 2025 and our growth plans are to reach 500 by the end of 2026. This role plays a pivotal part in this expansion with the foundation and opportunity well set.

This role is advertised for 37.5 hours per week, overseeing the operations of three shopping centres across Greater Manchester including Stretford Mall and Stamford Quarter. You'll also manage a mobile team of 5 specialist cleaners responsible for portfolio wide ad-hoc jobs including carpet, window and builders cleans.

We want you to be able to manage your own time, you'll be working 5 out of 7 days - majority of the time being Mon-Fri with some weekend work where needed.

What we're looking for:

We're looking for a team manager who has managed a similar size team - who is motivated by inspiring others, treating colleagues with compassion and supporting them to thrive in their roles. Management of cleaning teams would be a big advantage, however we're open to managers who support large teams in facilities or other relatable industries.

Job purpose:

As an Area Cleaning Manager you'll manage, develop and motivate a team of Supervisors and Cleaners who are responsible for the delivery of a high standard cleaning service across a diverse portfolio.

You won’t be afraid to have fun with your job and bring enthusiasm, dedication and a collaborative spirit to strengthen our culture.

What you’ll be doing:

Creating, implementing and managing operational objectives for your area, whilst remaining nimble and adaptable to the constantly changing environment.
You’ll be responsible for the end to end employee lifecycle from start to finish. You’ll be an expert when it comes to finding, growing and keeping talent, leading, inspiring and supporting our teams to deliver their best work.
Advising customers on cleaning specifications and providing tailored quotes based on customer requirements.
Enthusiastically helping to shape and develop Unify as a best in class cleaning providership.
Providing operational insight and knowledge, using data to highlight where we need to focus on our customer experience.
Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure that the various pieces of our service fit together perfectly for a seamless customer experience.
You'll be quality driven, pay attention to detail, ensure continuous improvement, efficiency and consistency through standardisation, record keeping and health & safety compliance.
You should have some experience within some of these specialist cleaning areas; strip and sealing floors, steam/carpet/upholstery cleaning and building cleans
