Content Creator — Hiut Denim Co.

Role Overview

Hiut Denim Co. is looking for a highly creative and technically skilled Content Creator to help tell the story of the brand, the factory, the makers, the product, and the culture around what we do.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at Hiut Denim Co. in Cardigan, Wales, starting immediately.

This is not a standard social media role. We are looking for someone with a strong artistic eye, a high level of technical ability, and the confidence to create content that feels considered, elevated, and true to Hiut.

The right person will be able to move between photography, video, graphic design, and post-production, creating work that supports the brand across social media, email, website, campaigns, and wider marketing channels.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop their own visual style within a brand that values craft, creativity, storytelling, and long-term thinking.

Applicants must provide a portfolio demonstrating a high standard of creative and technical work.

Key ResponsibilitiesPhotography

Capture high-quality still imagery for social media, email, website, campaigns, product storytelling, and brand content.
Photograph the factory, makers, products, details, landscapes, behind-the-scenes moments, and customer-facing stories.
Demonstrate strong composition, lighting, colour, texture, and storytelling through photography.
Create imagery that feels natural, refined, and brand appropriate rather than overly commercial or generic.

Video

Film short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, website, email, and campaign use.
Capture the rhythm of the factory, the making process, interviews, product stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and brand narratives.
Understand pacing, sequencing, framing, movement, sound, and atmosphere.
Create video content that goes beyond trends and feels distinctive to Hiut.

Graphic Design

Create simple, effective graphic assets for social media, email, web, and marketing use.
Work within the Hiut visual identity while helping develop a more refined and consistent brand expression.
Understand layout, typography, hierarchy, spacing, and brand systems.
Support campaign assets, product launches, editorial stories, and internal creative presentations when required.

Post-Production

Edit and retouch photography to a high standard.
Edit video content, including colour grading, sound, pacing, titles, subtitles, and exports for different platforms.
Maintain a consistent visual tone across stills and moving image.
Organise, archive, and deliver final assets in a clear and professional way.

Creative Expectations

The successful candidate must be inherently creative, visually curious, and passionate about making great work.

They should have a deep understanding of brands similar to Hiut and brands rooted in craft, product quality, place, authenticity, restraint, and long-term value.

They should understand that Hiut is not just selling jeans. We are telling stories about makers, place, skill, time, materials, and doing one thing well.

We are looking for someone who can bring ideas, not just execute tasks. Someone who can see a story in the everyday. Someone who understands the difference between content that fills a feed and content that builds a brand.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about photography, film, design, clothing, culture, craft, and storytelling — and who wants to develop a distinctive visual voice over time.

Working Relationships

The Content Creator will work directly with the CEO and the Head of Marketing & Creative.

They will be expected to collaborate closely on:

Brand storytelling
Campaign ideas
Product launches
Factory content
Maker stories
Social media content
Email and website assets
Creative direction and visual standards

This role requires someone who can take direction, contribute ideas, and work with a high level of independence once the creative direction is clear.

Required Skills and Experience

Strong portfolio of photography, video, design, and editing work.
High level of technical proficiency in camera use, lighting, composition, and editing.
Experience creating content for brands, campaigns, editorial, or social platforms.
Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent tools.
Confident in photo editing and video editing workflows.
Good understanding of social media formats, but not limited by social media trends.
Strong visual taste and understanding of brand storytelling.
Ability to work quickly when needed, while maintaining quality.
Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple creative tasks.
Comfortable working in a live environment such as a factory, shoot, event, or campaign setting.
Passionate about developing their craft and contributing creatively to the future of the brand.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is part photographer, part filmmaker, part designer, and part storyteller.

They will have a strong point of view, but also understand how to work within an established brand. They will be interested in craft, clothing, culture, design, photography, film, and the small details that make a brand feel human.

They will be passionate, curious, and ambitious about the quality of the work they make. They will want to grow, experiment, and develop their own visual style while helping shape the creative output of Hiut.

They will be able to create work that feels elevated without feeling distant, polished without feeling artificial, and creative without losing the truth of the brand.

Portfolio Requirement

All applicants must submit a portfolio.

The portfolio should show examples of:

Photography
Video work
Graphic design
Photo editing
Video editing
Brand or campaign work
Social or digital content
