Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare and cook all dishes on our menu, maintain cleanliness standards, and ensure smooth kitchen operations. Kitchen experience is essential in this fast paced working environment.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and cooking all aspects of our menu confidently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas, including washing utensils, equipment, and surfaces
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
Support the team during busy periods by performing additional tasks as needed

Skills

Experience in catering, restaurant work, or similar food service environments is essential
Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Previous kitchen experience or culinary training essential.

This role is suitable for individuals passionate about food service who are eager to develop their skills within a supportive team.
