Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Team Member. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where excellent customer service and food quality are our top priorities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. Previous experience in food preparation & cooking is required.

We offer holiday pay, free staff meals, a workplace pension and a positive workplace environment. We are looking to offer the ideal candidate around 14 - 25 hours per week with additional hours available at busy times. Applicants must be available between 7.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.

Duties

Cooking, preparation and assemble of food items according to established recipes and standards
Serve customers efficiently while providing excellent customer service
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards
Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and restocking supplies as needed
Ensure food safety protocols are followed during food handling and preparation
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the café

Skills

Experience in food preparation, cooking, food service, cafes or quick service & fast-food outlets is preferred
Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order processing
Experience with serving, bussing, and general cafe operations is a plus
Kitchen experience or familiarity with culinary techniques is advantageous
Ability to work well within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
