Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, clients, contractors, employees and guests. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for, maintaining a visible presence, preventing incidents, respond to emergencies, conducting patrols, ensure compliance with company policies and site procedures and ensuring a safe environment for everyone on-site.

Responsibilities

Carrying out thorough searches upon guest entry.
Conduct regular patrols of the venue to identify and address security concerns promptly.
Control access to buildings and restricted areas, verifying identification and authorisation.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
Cooperate with venue management and emergency services when required.

Requirements

No less than 2 years experience working in public venue.
Preferably must provide WAVE and counter terrorism certificate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond with confidence and effectiveness in situations.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail and situational awareness.
Physical stamina to stand, walk or patrol for extended periods during shifts.
Flexibility to shift work including: nights, weekends and public holidays.
