As we continue to grow, we're looking for an exceptional Operational Lead who will become the driving force behind our day-to-day operations, allowing the General Manager to focus on strategic growth, innovation and the continued development of MP Connect.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional Deputy Manager role.
We're looking for an Operational Lead who can take ownership of the day-to-day running of MP Connect, leading the team, supporting our customers and continually improving the way we work.
Working closely with the General Manager, you will become the operational heartbeat of the business. You'll provide leadership to the team, oversee daily operations, make confident decisions and ensure our customers continue to receive an exceptional service.
By taking ownership of the operational side of MP Connect, you will enable the General Manager to focus on strategic planning, product development, stakeholder engagement and future business growth.
We're looking for someone who enjoys creating structure, developing people and making things happen. Someone who is equally comfortable leading a team, supporting customers, improving processes and rolling up their sleeves whenever needed.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of MP Connect, ensuring the team delivers an outstanding service to customers.
Lead, motivate and develop a small team through coaching, mentoring and regular performance reviews.
Plan and prioritise workloads, ensuring resources are used effectively and service levels are consistently achieved.
Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues, resolving problems quickly and professionally.
Create a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture where people feel supported and empowered.
Deputise for the General Manager, making operational decisions and representing MP Connect when required.
Operational Delivery
Work alongside the team, answering customer enquiries and supporting operational activities during busy periods.
Ensure customer enquiries are handled professionally and resolved within agreed service standards.
Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
Maintain operational procedures and documentation to ensure consistency across the team.
Produce operational reports and management information to support business decisions.
Customer & Stakeholder Relationships
Build strong relationships with customers, member companies and industry partners.
Represent MP Connect professionally at meetings, demonstrations and industry events.
Gather customer feedback and use it to improve both our service and our products.
Develop effective working relationships across MPQC to support collaborative working.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working.
Support the delivery of new projects, products and business initiatives.
Gather user feedback to help shape future system development.
Encourage a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and accountability across the team.
Skills & Experience

Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
