Full job description

FHP are recruiting for a QS / Senior QS to work in the National Grid / Electrification Sector in Glasgow.

The role is a hybrid role; working each week between Company Offices, Site/Projects and also from Home. We are looking for an experienced QS to have the following attributes:-

Quantity Surveyor (QS) – Key Responsibilities

Highest Priority

Commercial Dispute Resolution
Contract Review, Administration and Management

Medium Priority

Initial Scope Reviews
Management Requirement Reviews
Budget Reviews
Project Cashflow Management
Preparation and Review of CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Chasing Outstanding Payments
Preparing and Submitting Applications for Payment
Raising and Managing Invoices
Managing Variations and Change Control
Final Account Preparation and Agreement
Commercial Reporting and Forecasting
Supporting Project Teams with Commercial Advice
Maintaining Positive Client Relationships

Ideal Candidate

Experience within High Voltage (HV), Transmission, Utilities or Infrastructure sectors.
Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
Proactive, organised and solutions-focused

The position is an excellent opportunity to develop, progress and ultimately lead a Commercial Team.

Pay: £65,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
