About the Role

As a Support Worker, you'll work alongside the people we support, helping them achieve the goals that matter most to them.

You'll build positive relationships based on trust and respect, promoting dignity, choice and independence while encouraging individuals to develop their confidence, life skills and community involvement.

No two days are the same, but every day you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life

Possible shift pattern - 08.00-22.00 / Sleep in / 07.00-08.00

Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will:

Build positive relationships with the people you support, their families, colleagues and external professionals.
Get to know each person's strengths, interests, aspirations and preferred ways of communicating to provide truly person-centred support.
Support individuals with everyday living tasks in a respectful way that promotes independence, dignity, choice and control.
Provide personal care where required, ensuring individual needs and preferences are always respected.
Support people to access their local community, attend appointments and participate in activities that are meaningful to them.
Encourage people to develop life skills, build confidence and achieve their personal goals.
Maintain accurate support records, care plans and daily documentation using respectful and person-centred language.
Recognise changes in health, wellbeing or behaviour and respond appropriately.
Safeguard the people you support by following company policies and reporting concerns promptly.
Use IT systems to complete records and communicate effectively with colleagues and professionals.

Able to work independently and use initiative.

Knowledgeable about safeguarding or willing to learn through training.

Desirable

Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism or Mental Health needs.
A full UK driving licence.

If you don't have previous experience but have the right attitude and values, we'd still love to hear from you. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
