Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Tattoo Instructor to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tattoo artistry, teaching, and excellent communication skills. This role involves guiding aspiring tattoo artists through technical skills, safety protocols, and artistic development within a professional and supportive environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging training sessions, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere for students.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive tattoo training programmes to students of varying skill levels.
Demonstrate tattoo techniques, including line work, shading, colour blending, and equipment handling.
Provide personalised feedback to students to enhance their artistic skills and technical proficiency.
Ensure all training complies with health and safety regulations, including sterilisation procedures and hygiene standards.
Organise practical workshops, demonstrations, and theoretical lessons to facilitate effective learning.
Maintain organised training schedules and record student progress accurately.
Communicate effectively with students to address questions, concerns, and developmental needs.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new techniques, and safety protocols to incorporate into teaching sessions.

Requirements

Proven experience as a professional tattoo artist with a strong portfolio of work.
Prior teaching or mentoring experience is highly desirable but not required.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Strong organisational skills to plan lessons and manage training resources efficiently.
Basic IT skills for creating instructional materials and maintaining digital records.
Ability to work well within a team environment and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Relevant certifications in health and safety standards related to tattooing are preferred but not mandatory.
