Job Title: MOT Tester

Hours: 45 hours per week

Pattern: Mon – Fri 07.00-17.00

Salary: up to £38,000 per annum DOE

Location: Avonmouth (Portbury Coming Soon)

Job Description

· Carry out Class 4 & Class 7 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations and testing standards.

· Accurately assess vehicle roadworthiness and identify any defects or reasons for failure.

· Complete all MOT documentation and digital records accurately and efficiently.

· Work closely with technicians to ensure failed vehicles are repaired and retested promptly.

· Carry out vehicle health checks where required and identify additional repair requirements.

· Ensure all testing equipment is maintained and calibrated in line with DVSA requirements.

· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

· Adhere to all DVSA guidelines, company procedures, and health and safety regulations.

· Support the wider workshop and vehicle preparation teams as required.

Candidate Requirements

· Current and valid DVSA MOT Tester qualification.

· Previous experience carrying out MOT testing in a dealership, independent garage, fleet, or vehicle preparation environment.

· Sound mechanical knowledge and understanding of modern vehicle systems.

· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Full UK driving licence is essential.
