About the role:

The School of Medicine and Dentistry wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Clinical and Communication Skills to join the Medicine and Dentistry team on the Preston campus.

The postholder will contribute to course delivery, management, and development in the area of Medical Skills and Quality Care (MSQC).

You will support the MSQC theme lead in the academic leadership, development and delivery of modules. You will also develop and deliver assessment and evaluation for these programmes.

About you:

You will hold a primary healthcare qualification (e.g. MB ChB or MBBS, Physician Associate, senior nurse, radiographer, or other allied health profession qualification) along with a relevant postgraduate qualification.

You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills; have an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain good working relationships with other professions. Experience of teaching and excellent IT, and organisational skills are essential. Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview.

The postholder will also have the opportunity to contribute to new development initiatives designed to support the next generation of healthcare professionals. This role offers the potential to be at the forefront of this exciting initiative. This position is for 12 months or on return of substantive postholder.
