Job Role: HGV ADR driver trainer
Company: CNG Fuels
Office location: Wigan
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Salary: £55,000 plus car allowance
Pattern: Full time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to arrange own diary to cover appointments at weekends

About the Company:

At CNG Fuels, we are pioneers in the sustainable energy sector with a mission to drive fleet emissions in the transportation industry to zero through our innovative solutions.

We construct, own, and manage our own network of state-of-the-art Bio-CNG public access refuelling stations, procuring our own 100% renewable Biomethane. Our Bio-CNG is derived entirely from biomethane extracted from waste materials such as food, animal, and wastewater. It undergoes independent verification and is sanctioned by the Department for Transport’s Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO).

Role Overview:

CNG Fuels Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced HGV ADR driver trainer based at our Wigan office.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Deliver training relating to drivers’ hours / tachographs / WTD rules and regulations to new and existing drivers.
Maintain up to date training records and be proactive in identifying training needs.
Deliver training regarding SAFED/ Fuel Economy and Defensive Driving
Report on (both verbal and written) the ability and performance of drivers following all driver training courses undertaken, using counselling and coaching techniques as required.
Ensure the transport department is fully compliant with all training requirements
HGV Driving License – full, clean C+E and ADR
Able to work without direct supervision.
Adaptable approach to work/ training.
Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information to trainees.
Effectively prioritise workload to meet set deadlines.
A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office / Excel applications.
Responsible for managing drivers’ annual assessments and reassessments.
To deliver innovative ideas and strategies for driver training.
Keep up to date on all initiatives and VOSA/DSA changes (compliance).
Managing driver infringements and lead in time violations (Aquarius)
Carry out driving assessments as part of recruitment process
New drivers training, inductions, delivery process training, SOPs, Tacho rules, defect reporting and walk round checks.
Delivery risk assessment completion.
Continuous driver development and support.
Driving infringement management.
RTA investigations support.
Driver CPC planning and review.
Support the Transport Manager with investigations.
Support with deliveries as and when required.

Required Skills & Experience

Previous demonstrable experience is required in this role
Must hold LGV1 C+E entitlement
Current CPC, Current Digital Tachograph and ADR certification including Tanks and Class 2 flammable gases.
