Full job description

Overview

Join our dynamic dental team as a Full Time Dental Receptionist and become the friendly face that welcomes patients and keeps our practice running smoothly! This energetic role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves providing excellent customer service, and is eager to contribute to a positive patient experience. As the first point of contact, you'll be instrumental in managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring our office operates efficiently every day.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they walk through the door
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments with precision and care
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including collecting necessary information and payments
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to the appropriate team members
Maintain accurate patient records and update appointment schedules using dental office management software
Carry out routine house-keeping procedures on the computer, including undertaking regular back-ups in line with practice policies
Liaise with dental laboratories, suppliers and other organisations as required, keeping records of laboratory work in and out
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient service at all times
Manage the sales of dental sundries to patients and ensure patients are provided with the opportunity to buy sundries when they leave the practice
Keep the office, patient’s toilet and reception area tidy and welcoming

Requirements

Prior experience is highly preferred, especially within a healthcare or dental setting
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organizational ability
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism
Proficiency in using office software and dental practice management systems is a plus
A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
