About Wiltech Acoustics & Rehlko

Wiltech Acoustics, now proudly operating under the Rehlko group (formerly Kohler Energy), is entering an exciting period of growth, investment, and operational transformation. As part of Rehlko’s global energy‑resilience network, Wiltech continues to build on its long‑standing reputation as a leading UK manufacturer of acoustic canopies, generator enclosures, and industrial noise‑control engineering solutions.

Our fully integrated manufacturing site in Loughborough manages every stage of production in‑house from raw material processing and fabrication through to welding, painting, and final assembly of bespoke acoustic units.

Joining Wiltech now means becoming part of a strengthened and well‑funded organisation with significant opportunities emerging through the Rehlko transition. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Paint Inspector.

The Role

A Quality Paint Inspector (QI) ensures that all painted components meet required standards before progressing through production or being released to customers. The role focuses on consistent paint quality, surface preparation accuracy, and compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform in-process checks for painting at every stage, including visual assessments, DFT, WFT, paint adhesion, and P.I.G tests.
Ensure compliance with surface preparation processes, checking profiles in accordance with MTSP 187.
Ensure the correct environmental conditions are maintained in the paint booth.
Monitor, calibrate, and record all relevant equipment on QC forms, controlling calibration periods.
Lead internal audits throughout the audit cycle and drive continuous improvement activities in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Conduct incoming material inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
Maintain full traceability of all quality records and ensure adherence to specifications.
Perform final visual inspections, checking for damage, burrs, paint quality, and part markings.

What We’re Looking For

Assist in the safe delivery of products, adhering to all relevant safety and quality guidelines.
Oversee paint material preparation, minimizing waste and ensuring correct volumes.
Prepare materials for the next stage in the process, ensuring accurate marking for welding and painting.
Liaise with other departments to foster strong communication and collaboration.
Ensure product release processes comply with customer specifications for the finishing area.
Continuously look for ways to improve processes, increasing efficiency and product quality.
