Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled General Builder and Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of building tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. Your expertise will help transform blueprints into reality, contributing to the creation of durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and develop your skills across multiple trades within the construction industry.

Duties

Perform minor carpentry tasks including framing, door and window installation, and cabinetry work with precision and attention to detail
Carry out roofing repairs and installations to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity
Execute masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete pouring to build foundations and walls
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete various construction tasks efficiently
Fabricate custom components or structures as needed for specific projects or client requirements

Requirements

Experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry or related construction trades
Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels as well as power tools including drills, grinders, and saws
Ability to read technical drawings prefered but not essential
Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites to prevent accidents and injuries
Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor in various weather conditions
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to completing tasks efficiently
Relevant certifications or licenses in construction trades are preferred but not mandatory
Confident to take lead on projects as and when requiered whilst encouraging a good work ethic within a team
Have good comunication skills
