Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Motor Mechanic to join our team independent land rover specialist The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motorised equipment and vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The Motor Mechanic will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our fleet and machinery.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
Diagnose mechanical issues accurately through visual assessment and testing procedures.
Repair, service, and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
Perform assembly and disassembly tasks for repairs or upgrades with precision.
Utilise welding techniques for structural repairs or modifications as required.
Follow maintenance schedules to ensure ongoing operational efficiency of all machinery.
Assist with the installation of new equipment or systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed for each vehicle or piece of equipment.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair needs and timelines.

Experience

Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role within an automotive or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and diagnostic procedures.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Experience in equipment repair and maintenance across various types of machinery is highly desirable.
Knowledge of electrical systems within vehicles is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately.
